Each of us is inherently immersed in the health of our farms. While we depend on that health for our health, the farmscape also depends on us for its health. Our food choices dictate the farmscape health that ultimately nourishes us. Joel will walk us through some of the protocols our farmers need to use in order to build nourishing farmscapes.

calls himself a Christian libertarian environmentalist capitalist lunatic farmer. Others who like him call him the most famous farmer in the world, the high priest of the pasture and the most eclectic thinker from Virginia since Thomas Jefferson. Those who don't like him call him a bio-terrorist, Typhoid Mary, charlatan and starvation advocate. He co-owns, with his family, Polyface Farm
in Swoope, Virginia.
With 12 published books, and a thriving multi-generational family farm, he draws on a lifetime of food, farming and fantasy to entertain and inspire audiences around the world. He's as comfortable moving cows in a pasture as addressing CEOs in a Wall Street business conference. Often receiving standing ovations, he prefers the word performance rather than presentation to describe his lectures. His favorite activity?-Q&A. “I love the interaction,” he says. http://www.polyfacefarms.com/joels-bio/
We do not have any arrangements with a particular hotel but there are plenty hotels twenty miles away in Waldorf, Maryland.
Carpooling is encouraged.
Because of limited space and acoustics, we cannot allow children at this event nor do we have space for babysitting. Because of the farm animals, we cannot allow pets.
